Island wines compared, Cyprus meets Sicily & Sardinia

In the fourth chapter of the W-ein Kapitel series, Bernhard Furler and Beat Schwald set Cypriot, Sicilian and Sardinian wines directly side by side. Indigenous grape varieties such as Xynisteri, Carricante, Nerello Mascalese, Vermentino and Cannonau are compared, and the evening also shows what heat, altitude and the influence of the sea do in the glass. The featured wineries include Maugeri and Girolamo Russo from Etna as well as Cantina Giba, Sedilesu and Fradiles from Sardinia.
