At Barrique Baden, the road to wine ran through aviation: Andreas Huber works full time as a Purser for Swiss and discovered his passion during the pandemic by hosting private tastings, deepening it in 2020 with a WSET qualification in London. Since 5 March 2022 he has run his Atelier du Vin on Untere Halde in Baden, a meeting point with French flair for wines from France, French-speaking Switzerland and beyond. The open-pour list ranges from Old World to New World bottles, alongside specialities from Romandy and seasonal small plates. Regular tastings, small-group wine classes and joint seminars with the Goldwand winery in Ennetbaden make the shop a favourite haunt for wine lovers in Baden.
