WINE DATE is the young wine fair touring German-speaking Switzerland, and in September it stops in Lucerne. For three days you stand in the Kornschütte among winemakers, importers and wine fans, glass in hand, tasting your way across the room. Not a stiff affair, but wine, enjoyment and exchange in a relaxed setting. This is about tasting, so you can really drink and compare rather than just watch.

The fair is split into three areas, so you find your way quickly.

How your visit works
At the entrance you get a Gabriel-Glas glass against a CHF 20 deposit, refunded at the end. Then you move freely from stand to stand and taste whatever appeals to you. To dig deeper, join one of the masterclasses, where a specific topic or region is explained in a compact session. Whatever you like, you can often take home right there.
