Expovina Weinschiffe 2026
Switzerland's largest wine tasting, on historic ships at Bürkliplatz in Zurich

The Expovina Weinschiffe are the heavyweight of the Swiss wine calendar. For the 71st time this autumn, the historic ships dock at Bürkliplatz and turn into a floating wine fair, right in the centre of Zurich on the lake. At the last edition, around 200 exhibitors presented some 4700 wines on ten ships, plus masterclasses, gastro ships and pop-ups. Anyone who likes wine has been here at least once, and most come back.

Tips for your visit
Come by public transport
Bürkliplatz is central and well served by tram and bus. If you're tasting, you're better off leaving the car at home anyway.
Get tickets in advance
Ticket sales run via Ticketino. Regular admission costs CHF 36, on Fridays and Saturdays CHF 42. If you board before 3 pm, the early bird ticket costs CHF 30 or 38 and you can stay as long as you like afterwards. There is no early bird ticket on opening day. Booking ahead saves you the queue and locks in your preferred day.
Take your time, but not all at once
Nobody tastes all of that in one evening. Pick a few regions or ships and work through them deliberately rather than rushing.
Plan to eat
Pierfood and the gastro ships give you a base. Eating in between keeps your nose fresh and the evening long.
Book a masterclass early
The guided tastings are popular and often limited. They can be booked from mid-September, with a free ticket or regular admission. If you want a specific masterclass, add it early.
The other Expovina formats
The Weinschiffe are the best known but not the only Expovina format. In spring, the Expovina Primavera runs at Puls 5 in Zurich West, a wine fair in the Giessereihalle. In summer comes the Expovina Wine Trophy with tastings at the Technopark Zurich, an international competition whose award-winning wines you find again at the Weinschiffe.
The Expovina Weinschiffe 2026 take place from 29 Oct to 12 Nov at Bürkliplatz in Zurich. Tickets are on sale online via Ticketino, admission costs from CHF 36. All details at Expovina. As of 04.09.2026.
