St. Gallen Wine Festival at the Pfalzkeller
The premiere on Saturday, 14 November 2026: tasting, Masterclasses, live music and afterparty
St. Gallen is getting its own wine festival. On Saturday, 14 November 2026, Claudio Wirth turns the historic Pfalzkeller by the Klosterhof into one big wine cellar. Six wineries pour their wines for tasting, plus two Masterclasses, a creative workshop and, to finish, a big afterparty with DJ. At the heart of it all, alongside the wines, are the people and stories behind them, and that is exactly why we are looking forward to this premiere.

What to expect
Six wineries under the vault
From 2 to 6 pm, six selected wine houses and producers pour at the Pfalzkeller, including Weingut Schmidheiny, Höcklistein, Lampert, Seckinger and Roman Rutishauser. With the day ticket you taste your way through every stand and get to know the people behind the wineries.
Two Masterclasses
At 3 pm a Special Guest gives a Masterclass, the name will be revealed on 5 September at the summer party. At 5 pm Loris Lenzo from Hotel Einstein St. Gallen takes you on a journey through the world of wine. Both Masterclasses can be booked as a ticket upgrade.
Your own wine label
In the creative workshop with Christina Bregenzer you design your own label and bottle your personal white wine, taking the bottle home as a souvenir. The workshop takes around 30 minutes and makes for a nice break between the wine stands.
Live music, bar and afterparty
Atelier Essenzia is open all day, with an à la carte restaurant and bar. Live music sets the mood during the day, and after the tasting it flows seamlessly into the big afterparty with DJ, running until just before midnight.
Tips for the visit
Choose the right ticket
The day ticket for CHF 45 covers the tasting. If you want a Masterclass, get the combo ticket with Special Tasting (CHF 70) or with Loris Lenzo's Masterclass (CHF 90). The all-in ticket for CHF 100 includes everything. A small service fee is added in each case.
Walk to the Abbey Precinct
The Pfalzkeller is located at the Klosterhof, right in the middle of St. Gallen's Abbey Precinct, an easy walk from the station. If you are tasting, it is best to leave the car at home.
Keep an eye on the Special Guest
The Special Guest will be revealed on 5 September at the summer party in the Zeughausgasse. If you want a taste of the festival mood beforehand, just drop by, no ticket needed.
