Salgesch I Salquenen

In Salgesch, known in French as Salquenen, a well-known Valais wine village between Sierre and Leuk, a new format celebrates its premiere on 5 September 2026, the Weinherbst Salgesch (wine autumn). The event is organised by the Verein Weindorf Salgesch, an association of more than 30 wineries, restaurants and businesses from the village. On a roughly 7-kilometre gourmet hike through the vineyards, twelve stations, named after the twelve months of the vine year, lead from the train station back to the village centre. At every station winemakers personally pour their wines, alongside Valais dried meat, raclette and beef stew, with live music along the way.
