The Widder Hotel sits right in the heart of Zurich's old town, where nine historic buildings spanning 700 years of history merge into a five-star superior address. Opened in 1995, the hotel, designed by architect Tilla Theus, blends medieval building fabric with contemporary design and takes its name from the Zunft zum Widder guild, based on Widdergasse since 1401. As part of The Living Circle, the house also pours wine from its own Cantina alla Maggia in Ticino and hosts events at the Widder Restaurant such as the Winemaker's Lunch with wine-making couple Gantenbein.
