Weingut Heidegg

Weingut Heidegg in Gelfingen lies at the foot of Heidegg Castle in the Lucerne Seetal. Viticulture on the castle hill was revived in 1951 by a decision of the Grand Council of the Canton of Lucerne, the estate was state-owned until 1998, then it was privatised and taken over by Peter Schuler. Today Peter and Lars Schuler run the business as owners, and on around 8 hectares more than 20 grape varieties are grown. The wines carry the designation of origin AOC Luzern and come exclusively from the estate's own grapes, from the entry-level wine through barrique, sweet and sparkling wines to specialities, available in the online shop and at the wine sales with tasting at the estate.
