At Weinbau Hartmann in Remigen, wine has been a family affair since 1985. Bruno and Ruth Hartmann took over the parental farm back then and now cultivate 16 hectares on the southern slopes of the Jura in the Wasserschloss area, where the Romans once brought winegrowing to the region from the Vindonissa legionary camp. Together with ten other winemakers from Remigen, they produce 22 red and white wines plus specialities, and their Sauvignon Blanc was named Aargau's official state wine in 2025. For their 40th anniversary, they are opening the cellar for tours and tastings, otherwise you can meet them at the Remigen vineyard walk in August or the Swisswine Tavolata in September.
