Domaine Bertholet
At Domaine Bertholet, the wine stays true to itself: no blending, no oak chips, just a view over Lake Geneva. Christophe Bertholet farms just over three hectares on the La Muraz slope above Villeneuve as an independent winegrower and cellar master, together with Christine Bertholet, using integrated ecological production and traditional pruning. About 60 percent of the 35,000 to 40,000 bottles produced each year is Chasselas, including the Calinou cuvée and a Chasselas aged in acacia barrels, with the remaining 40 percent Pinot Noir, rounded out by a little Sauvignon Blanc and Gamay: the Chasselas La Muraz won gold in both 2019 and 2020. At the wine bar in the caveau or on the terrace amid the vines, the couple welcomes guests for tastings and light meals for up to 50 people.
