Château de Crans in Crans-près-Céligny traces its vaulted cellars back to 1765, where stone ceilings over four metres high still keep the climate just right today. Winemaker Gilles Pilloud has farmed the estate's 12.7 hectares on Lake Geneva for close to 20 years, working biodynamically since 2007 and holding Bio Bourgeon organic certification since 2021. Alongside Gamaret, Garanoir, Merlot, Gamay and Pinot Noir, he also vinifies Chasselas, Gewürztraminer, Riesling and Viognier, while his Galisse blend ages for twelve months in oak barrels. At the Caves Ouvertes open day in June, the château opens its doors for tastings, tours and a jazz concert right among the vines.
