Data collected

When you visit our website, the following data is automatically stored in server log files: IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, referrer URL, and browser used.

Hosting

This website is operated on Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). When you visit, Cloudflare processes technical connection data (e.g. IP address) to deliver and protect the website. Cloudflare operates data centres worldwide, including in Switzerland and the EU.

Anonymous reach measurement

We measure the use of this website fully anonymously and without cookies. This includes server-side counters, for example how often an event page is viewed or a registration link is clicked, with coarse attributes such as country of origin, device type, language version and referral source. IP addresses are not stored and individuals cannot be identified. We provide aggregated evaluations of these figures to organisers for their own events. In addition, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless visitor statistic by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) that does not create individual user profiles. Search engine bots and automated access are filtered out of all evaluations.

Newsletter

For the newsletter we collect your email address and optional details such as language and regions. Registration uses double opt-in: you are only added after clicking the confirmation link in the email. We use the service Brevo (Brevo SAS, France) for sending and management; data is stored on servers in the EU. You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email or write to info@weintasting.ch and we will delete your data from the list.

Contact form

If you write to us via the contact form, we process your details (name, email address, message) to handle your request. Delivery is handled via the service Brevo (Brevo SAS, France).

Location detection

To show you nearby events first, the website asks the external service ipapi.co once for the approximate region of your IP address. Your IP address is transmitted to ipapi.co in the process. The result (your canton) is only stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted to us.

Cookies

This website only uses technically necessary cookies. No tracking or advertising cookies are used. The website also uses your browser's local storage (localStorage) for convenience features such as the favourites list, region sorting and to avoid showing notices repeatedly. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.

External services

This website embeds map material from OpenStreetMap. When loading the map, your IP address is transmitted to OpenStreetMap servers.
