The Weingut am Steinig Tisch in Thal opens on two days at the end of November for a visit with a free tasting, a cellar tour and a chat with the winemaker. Founded in 1970 by August Rutishauser, the estate has been run since 2015 by Roman Rutishauser in the third generation, and Gault Millau has regularly recognised it since 2021. Afterwards guests walk up through the vineyards to the Steiniger Tisch excursion spot, where a 3-course menu is served with wines by Roman Rutishauser offered alongside, with views over Lake Constance and the Appenzell region.
