At the Salon des Côtes de l'Orbe in Daillens, the winemakers of the Vaud appellation present their wines in person, above all the Gamay typical of the region. Among those taking part are Château d'Eclépens, Château de Valeyres, Domaine de l'Orme and Cave des 13 Coteaux, Upper Valais is the guest region, and producers from the area bring cheese, meat, chocolate and beer. On Saturday morning the Verre d'Or competition makes a stop, with six wines from regional grape varieties tasted blind.
