At VINEA, everything has revolved around Swiss wine and its diversity since 1994. Grown out of the Rencontres vinicoles in Sierre, this Valais trade association has become a central platform for Swiss winegrowers, with competitions such as the Grand Prix du Vin Suisse, the Mondial du Merlot & Assemblages and the Mondial des Pinots, plus the VINEA Le Salon fair, VINEA On Tour and its own wine academy. Based in Sierre, the association points out that nearly every Swiss canton has its own vineyards, from Lake Constance to Lake Geneva.
