VILLA Schweizerhof sits on the Hausermatte by Lake Lucerne, where the Zingg family built a manor house around 1860 before the Hauser family took over the estate. After a large hotel project fell through in 1909 due to a railway merger, the grounds served for decades as a venue for equestrian sports, until the restaurant finally opened here in 1981. On the sun terrace with lake views, seasonal cuisine made from quality Swiss produce meets a wine list full of Swiss specialties. Four times a year, guest winemaker opening evenings invite guests to taste directly with the winemakers on site.
